New FUJITSU UMPC is Coming Next Spring
UMPC continuing its acceptance among users and manufacturers. One of major laptop manufacturer, FUJITSU, announced its new UMPC system availability in next spring. The system will come with Intel latest Sealy processor (800MHz), 1024MB of ram, and 40GB of HDD. Other key features include SD card reader, two integrated camera, and 5.6-inch display screen (support up to 1024 x 600 of resolutions). The UMPC weighing only a 0.5 Kg including the 4 core battery that can last 7 hours.

The Ultra-Mobile PC (abbreviated UMPC), previously known by its codename Project Origami, is a specification for a small form factor tablet PC. It was developed as a joint development exercise by Microsoft, Intel, and Samsung, among others. Current UMPCs feature the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, or Linux operating system and low-voltage Intel Pentium or VIA C7-M processors in the 1 GHz range.
