Sahara introduced its new ruggedized Tablet PC powered by Windows XP Pro under codename TufTab i310XT. Tha tablet is in slate model and features 12.1-inch touch screen. As ruggedized tablet, the new TufTab can hold out againts dust, rain, humidity, extreme temperatures, and vibration.

The technical specifications are: Intel Celeron M processor, 1GB of memory, 60GB of hard disk drive, and PCMCIA Type II slot for expansion and a biometric fingerprint reader. Regarding connectivity this tablet empower 802.11b/g WiFi a Bluetooth. SUSE linux is also comes as optional operating system if you prefer the open source one.

The Sahara TufTabâ„¢ i310XT can be operated by fingertip or stylus and also features a useful on-screen keyboard, making it possible to type directly on the screen in the familiar QWERTY layout without having to use an external keyboard. You can get it one for $2,099 at www.tabletkiosk.com
