Dell Tablet PC Latitude XT is On Track

Dell confirmed that its first Tablet PC named Latitude XT is under development, but they won’t show off the details until late 2007. The tablet will be made in convertible type (not slate or hybrid). Dell is the one of major computer manufacturers that doesn’t have Tablet PC yet in its product lines, as they used to don’t believe there has been a market for tablet PC, but now the trends is different.
According to the company, now is the right time to enter tablet pc market due the availability of Vista (with enhanced handwriting recognition) and Santa Rosa ultra-low voltage platform which is believed to provide enhanced power management. – laptoplogic
