Coming with dual graphics: integrated and dedicated, Asus U3 aimed to offer dual mode: Power Saving and Speed graphic mode. Switching is easy through selector button available on the right side of this GPS enabled laptop. Both graphics card are the Intel GMA X3100 (onboard) and the NVIDIA GeForce 8400 video card (dedicated). But switching between these, required rebooting the laptop.
As GPS enabled laptop, the new Asus U3 ultra portable laptop equipped with a port for external antenna to strengthen the satellite signal. based on Santa Rosa Platform, the laptop configured with 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 processor, S-Video output, a HDMI/eSATA connectors, ExpressCard Slot, USB ports, a Firewire, and Secure Digital slot. Asus planned to sell this laptop next month (September) with suggested price about $2000.
