The new Xtreme 917V offered by XtremeNotebooks as its first quad core laptop, yes it is configured with Intel Core 2 Quad processor. Created as a desktop replacement in mind, the 917V features dual SLI nVIDIA 8000 graphics card running DirectX 10 and triple SSD for the storage. With that configuration, the laptop suitable for gaming, graphic design, as well as mobile server.

“This is a giant step forward in mobile computing power,” remarked XtremeNotebooks President, Steven Nichols. “We can build an Xtreme 917V with almost a terabyte of high speed storage and the processing power of four CPUs, this is the bleeding edge of desktop replacement.”

In addition to the configuration mentioned above, customers have an option to install Quadro series graphics cards instead of nVIDIA or install SATA hdd instead of SSD. The pricing of the Xtreme 917V is not known yet.
