The Vaio G2 was reported to be available next month (October 2007) in Japan, but the other countries need to wait a little longer to see it at shops. The G2 is built upon the Intel Mobile Computing platform and it is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo family (U7600 or U7500 models). Other specification include SSD (solid state drive) up to 64GB, USB 2.0, memory card slot, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g, Gigabit Ethernet, and fingerprint recognition.
Running on Windows XP or Vista, the new Sony Vaio G2 was reported that its Li-Ion battery offers 11 hours of non stop operation. Available in 3 different colors of choice, this laptop will come with a price tag from $1346 to $2392 (depending on configuration).
