I am not sure whether the new LG UMPC was displayed during CES 2008 a few weeks ago, but it was reported to be there. Featuring 4,8-inch touchscreen, the UMPC will boast 1GB of memory based on Intel Menlow platform.

The new LG UMPC which still has no name, equipped with 40GB storage and support HSDPA, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivities. A QERTY keyboard also included.

Asus Eee PC Works Well with Windows XP

Andrew Liszewski from OhGizmo shares his experiences about his new Eee PC. He wrote that he happily replaces its default operating system, Xandros Linux with Windows XP. He did it because software related problem with his works. And according to him, the installation is extremly easy.

The install process was ridiculously easy, and Asus even provides a DVD with all the Windows drivers you’ll need. The biggest challenge of course is the tiny 4GB SSD hard drive, but so far I have XP with all its updates installed plus a host of other applications I rely on, with about 700MB still free. Fujitsu Laptop Made From Corn

FUJITSU LAPTOP MADE FROM CORN

This not a food but a laptop made from corn, don’t you believe it? Fujitsu going green with its new laptop which is displayed during CES in Las Vegas this January. Not all the part made from corn but only the casing. This biopolymer is constructed with polylactic acid (PLA), a resin extracted from the fermentation of the raw biomass from plants.

This product does offer a net benefit to the environment, considering the large amounts of heavy metals in a regular machines. Hopefully in the future Fujitsu can adapt this technology to completely eliminate the need of the use of petroleum. New M51 laptop series has been introduced by Asus recently. These laptop is reported as the first laptop that configured with NiVidia geForce 9500 GS video and an Intel Penryn processor. The series include M51SN, M51Sr, and M51Se.
