ASUS unveiled the world’s first one-terabyte notebook in collaboration with Hitachi Global Storage Technologies.
ASUS announced that the new Travelstar 5K500 (500 GB 2.5 Inch hard drive) from Hitachi has been integrated into the ASUS M series multimedia notebook PCs. The new ASUS M50 and M70 will ship with two of the Travelstar 5K500 to provide unprecedented storage capacity for high definition media and personal data.
The ASUS Travelstar 5K500 coming with Innovative light sensor adjusts LCD brightness automatically, Dual hard drives support RAID functions for increased speed or for data redundancy, Intel Core2 Duo Processor T7700/7500/7300/7100, ATI 3650 512MB dedicated graphics engine (DGE), 17″ WXGA+/WUXGA Color Shine, Splendid, Hybrid TV Tuner (Analog & Digital) – Otional, HDMI connectivity, 240 degree swiveling webcam, Fingerprint reader and Trusted Platfor Module for security, Turbo memory 1GB.
