Laptop Anti Theft Technology (ATT) From Intel
Intel has been developing Anti Theft Technology (ATT) for laptop as a result of its partnership with Absolute Software, Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, Lenovo, McAfee, Phoenix Technologies and Ultimaco Software. The technology won’t avoid the laptop from theft, but it will be able to disable system from working, disable data access and protect hard disk drive when the laptop is stolen.
ATT will be a part of Intel’s Active Management Technology, present in Centrino Pro branded business laptops. Centrino Pro includes professional tools for administration, manageability, and security, which are not present in Centrino Duo systems.
