Samsung N150 Plus Boots in No Time

Samsung N150 Plus

Those interested in netbooks want a way to do simple computer functions and access the web on the go. This usually means that whether they think about it at the time of purchase or not, most consumers want something with a quick startup time.

Netbook manufacturers tend to pitch their products with notions of quicker access to the web on account of the simplified operating systems. They fail to mention that along with a reduce level of RAM most netbooks tend to boot at the same rate as their laptop counterparts even in sleep mode.

The Samsung N150 Plus’s signature feature is its savvy energy-saving sleep mode. The rest of this moderately-priced averagely-manufactured netbook is for the most part the standard-issue style of its class, with the exception that the way in which these typical pieces are organized is how it successfully saves power and speeds startup.

The 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor joins forces with the 1GB of RAM to provide the support for the boot speed of the N150. This combination is a little lighter than what most netbooks in the N150 Plus price range provide which when looked at from a multi-task perspective increases sluggishness. But it’s the right mix for this netbook to power up quickly, go to sleep soundly, and wake up rapidly when asked to do so.

The Intel GMA 3150 graphics card keeps the ability to access online services such as those provided by AnyWho on-the-go actions that the owner of this netbook can depend on. However compared to other netbooks in this class this is a weaker install. Once again though it’s what contributes to that faster access to basic web browsing and applications use.

The battery life of this baby backs this up. When tested, it was shown to last longer than seven hours, a full hour longer than most netbooks. That’s all on account of the N150 Plus’s Fast Boot utility software and reduced components.

When it comes to a netbook, you’re not going to get away with a lot of function to begin with. The particular needs a netbook provides are essentially web access mobility and the ability to access basic applications quickly. More sophisticated internals only hinder these things. The kind of netbook you want is one that’s modestly priced, does the basics, and does it quickly without wasting power.

At $350.00 the Samsung N150 Plus falls into that category of netbook computer.
