Targeting professional business user, Dell unveiled three new Vostro laptop series at once including 1310, 1510, and 1710. The first two (1310 & 1510) configured with 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch display respectively, and both powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and up to 4GB of memory. Other features include DVD drive, 80GB of HDD, WiFi b/g, and Windows XP/Vista oprationg system. And last but not least, both laptop costs $749 and $599 respectively.
Regarding the 1710 series, beside its 17-inch screen size, there is no further details yet about the specification, but it will hit stores this month.

Designed with gaming in mind, the new Dell XPS M1730s comes with 17-inch display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and dual drive configuration. The display is driven by Nvidia 8800M GTX with dual SLI technology. And the good news is the pricing start from $700 plus the availability of custom-themed.
“The XPS M1730 has been recognized as the standard for gaming laptops,” said head of Dell’s XPS group Glen Robson, in a statement sent by email. “With the addition dual GeForce 8800M GTX graphics with NVIDIA SLI technology, the XPS M1730 delivers DX10 gaming performance approaching high end desktops.”

The availability of XPS M1530 laptop was announced today by Dell. As a multimedia-oriented laptop, the M1530 configured with NVIDIA dedicated graphics card to power its 15.4-inch screen, and equipped with a slot-loading Blu-ray R/W drive, and HDMI out. The laptop pre-loaded with Windows Vista OS and the pricing for the basic configuration set at $999.
“With starting price of $999, the XPS M1530 is loaded with premium features, like built in webcam and fingerprint reader, and design accents like touch-sensitive multi-media buttons, brushed aluminum accents and a choice of sophisticated colors,” the press release says.

Targeting gamers enthusiast finally Dell XPS M1730 will be released on 27 August 2007 in France. As the successor of XPS M1710, the M1730 configured on Santa Rosa platform and powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 or T7500 or T7700 processor or Core 2 Extreme X7800 mobile processor. The last processor type (X7800) is overclockable to boost the performance. It suitable for gaming and video editing tasks.
Other peripherals of Dell XPS M1730 include 256MB Nvidia Geforce 8600 GS card (up to 512MB GeForce 8700M GT), 256MB of memory and 512MB / 1GB Turbo Memory. Regarding connectivities, the laptop support WiFi 802.111 b/g/n and Bluetooth. Until now, still no word on the estimated price.
