Available in white and black body, the new AMD-powered Mebius FW laptop are set to hit store late this month. Sharp said that white one (PC-FW50X) configured with 2GHz Mobile Sempron 3600+ CPU, 2GB of memory, and a 120GB hdd. And additionally, it’s also equipped with dual-layer DVD burner, PCMCIA slot, USB 2.0 ports 4x, and a 4-pin FireWire connector. This 15.4-inch laptop costs $1,467.
The black one, which known as PC-FW70X, has higher specs with 1.9GHz Turion 64 X2 TL-58 CPU and highr price at $1,613. Both models has additional features including 802.11b/g WiFi, Ethernet, a multicard reader, VGA output and a rechargeable Li-ion.

Sharp announced new Mebius laptops including PC-WT70V, PC-WE50V, and PC-WE40V. Running on Windows Vista, the laptops is built upon AMD platform and configured with 15.4-inch monitor, Turion 64 X2 TL-52 for PC-WT70V, Sempron 3400+ for both PC-WE50V & PC-WE40V, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100, up to 2 GB of memory, and 120 GB of hdd. And other features that you can see on the outside including dual-layer DVD writer, PCMCIA, and SD/ xD card slots.
Regarding I/O ports the new Mebius features VGA out, audio in / out, FireWire and USB 2 host. For connectivities the laptops support Ethernet LAN and WiFi. Did i mentioned Bluetooth? As mentioned by Engadget, the pricing set at $1580, $1324, and $1147 respectively. However the availability in the U.S was not mentioned yet.
