The Lifebook P8240 Tablet PC has been available for quite some time in Japan. The tablet costs $1,600 for standard configuration but additional charge could be applied up to $2,200 if you prefer to opt Windows Vista Business operating system with better hardware.
The Lifebook P8240 (do not confuse with U8240) maximum configured with 1.2GHz Intel Core Solo U1400 processor, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, 1GB of memory (DDR2), and 32GB SSD. Regarding I/O ports, the P8240 utilizes standard modem, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, PC Card Type I/II, and SD slot. The Fujitsu P8240 measure 9.5 x 6.5 x 1.36 inch and weighs 2.17 pounds include the battery. And it support WiFi 802.11 a/b/g of course.

The new table pc from Gateway, E-295C/C-140, designed in convertible model and boasts 1.8 - 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It is a 14-inch WXGA (1280×768) tablet with 200 nit brightness which provide users better experience. Other main feature include Intel GMA X3100 or you can stick with Ati Radeon X2300 graphics. The memory support up to 4GB and the storage up to 120GB.
For connectivities the new E-295C/ C-140 features Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. Finally, coming with $1100 price tags, this tablet also has another useful equipment such as DVD RW Drive, SD/MS/xD media reader, FireWire, USB ports and biometric recognition.
Introducing two new laptop ThinkPad X61 and X61s along with a new X61 Tablet PC, Lenovo aimed to deliver better performance for its users. Coming as an enhancement version of the previous models, the ThinkPad X61 and X61s laptops offering 30% faster throughput and has more range for its wireless boradband connectivity include WWAN and WiFi 802.11 n. Other supported connectivity include Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth as well as standard modem.
Utilizing 8 cell standard batteries, both laptop could last 12 and 11 hours respectively, but the Tablet comes with shorter battery life (up to 10 hours). Dell confirmed that its first Tablet PC named Latitude XT is under development, but they won’t show off the details until late 2007. The tablet will be made in convertible type (not slate or hybrid). Dell is the one of major computer manufacturers that doesn’t have Tablet PC yet in its product lines, as they used to don’t believe there has been a market for tablet PC, but now the trends is different.
According to the company, now is the right time to enter tablet pc market due the availability of Vista (with enhanced handwriting recognition) and Santa Rosa ultra-low voltage platform

A new Tablet PC is redying by Hewlett-Packard until July. The detail of the technical specification still unclear except the Wi-Fi support, built-in web camera option, and microphone option. Other features and specifications should be out before the release date (July).
What i can tell you now just the look based on the picture, it may be bias so don’t take it too deeply, you’ve been told. I see nothing that make the tablet look special, it comes with widescreen display and convertible model, nothing more. Are you agree? i hope not, and then we must wait for a couple of weeks. I posted this article based on trendygadget.com’s post.

Sahara introduced its new ruggedized Tablet PC powered by Windows XP Pro under codename TufTab i310XT. Tha tablet is in slate model and features 12.1-inch touch screen. As ruggedized tablet, the new TufTab can hold out againts dust, rain, humidity, extreme temperatures, and vibration.
The technical specifications are: Intel Celeron M processor, 1GB of memory, 60GB of hard disk drive, and PCMCIA Type II slot for expansion and a biometric fingerprint reader. Regarding connectivity this tablet empower 802.11b/g WiFi a Bluetooth. SUSE linux is also comes as optional operating system if you prefer the open source one.

After long waiting, Dell is predicted to release a Tablet PC in the next August/October in USA. The rumor has been started by James Kendrick from jkontherun.com, he posted about interesting discussion of their reader with two Dell representative.
According to the discussion, The new Dell Tablet PC will available around September/October this year. Based on Latitude D420 laptop, this next convertible tablet will have widescreen display with an active digitizer and utilizing bluetooth & wireless broadband as connections utilities. Seeing this trends seem to me that the tablet pc soon will be a major computer system for daily basis, as predicted.
